What is SpotiFive?
SpotiFive is a free daily music quiz. Every day there's a new band or artist, and your job is to name their five bestselling singles before you run out of lives.
How do I play?
Press Start, then type a song into the box and pick it from the list. A correct song drops into its place in the top 5. A wrong one costs you one of your 3 lives. Name all five to win; lose all three lives and it's game over. A stopwatch records how long you take.
When does the next band arrive?
A new challenge appears every day at midnight UK time, wherever you are in the world. If you've finished today's, come back tomorrow.
Where does the song data come from?
The five bestselling singles, and the other songs offered in the list, are chosen by Gemini AI, using Google Search for sales and chart data. AI can make mistakes, and "bestselling" can depend on the country and era, so a ranking may not always be perfect.
How do streaks work?
Your streak counts the days in a row you've finished the game, whether you won or lost, so one bad day doesn't wipe it out. Miss a whole day and it starts again. Streaks are worked out on your device, so clearing your browser data or switching device resets them.
Do I need an account?
No. There's nothing to sign up for. Your results, times and streak are saved in your own browser.
Is it free?
Yes, completely. After a game we show links to the band's vinyl and merchandise on Amazon. We're an Amazon Associate, so we earn a small commission from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you.

Privacy and cookies
Saved in your browser. Your results, times, streak and cookie choice are stored in your own browser so the game can remember them. They never leave your device, and we don't hold any player accounts or personal details on our servers.
Analytics (only if you accept). If you choose Accept, we use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, which sets cookies to count visitors and see which pages and features are used, such as shares and shop clicks. If you choose Decline, analytics stays off and the game works exactly the same. We don't use advertising or remarketing cookies.
Amazon links. When you click a vinyl or merch link you leave SpotiFive for Amazon, which uses its own cookies to credit us for any purchase. See Amazon's own policies for details.
Admin sign-in. A session cookie is used only when the site's admins sign in. Players never receive it.
